"...so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."  Isaiah 55:11

Follow Him by sharing His Love with the world around us...

IN OUR CHURCH
~Let the Prayer Ministry
Team know your prayer needs, they love to lift joys and needs to God.

~Prayer Shawls made by members of Stony Hills Church are given to people in need of prayer. It is a reminder of the spiritual warmth provided by God’s love and the prayers offered by this church family.

IN OUR COMMUNITY
~
Our Kids’ Closet is located in Columbia St. Mary’s Medical Clinic at N112 W15415 Mequon Rd. in Germantown. Here families in need receive gently used and new clothing for their children. There are many opportunities to offer your time, talent, and service: collecting donations from St. Boniface Church, sorting donated clothing, delivering bagged items to local agencies, providing customers with personal shopping support at the clinic’s “store”, and cleaning, restocking, and organizing the clinic’s clothing facility.

~ The Milwaukee Rescue Mission
When men or women with children need a safe place to go, help to rebuild their lives, a hot meal or a long-term solution, they go to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. Stony Hills members volunteer at the mission in various ways.  In addition, donations of personal hygiene items, baby needs, clothes, and other necessities of life is on going. Items can be brought to the church.

~ The Gathering
The mission of the Gathering is to provide meals and associated services to those who would otherwise go hungry.
Ten to twenty people from Stony Hills participate at the Gathering on Saturdays to serve lunch at one of the three meal sites. Duties include busing tables and minor food and beverage preparation. Volunteers also make up plates of food and pour beverages cafeteria-style. The afternoon ends with clean up. The time commitment is 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Carpooling is arranged the day of in the church parking lot. It is asked that volunteers each bring a gallon of milk, a can of coffee, or a package of cookies.

~Community Easter Egg Hunt
Christ is Risen! He is Risen indeed! This is the Good News that we hope to share with the community during our annual Community Easter Egg Hunt, which offers families much more than candy. Crafts and
activities focus on the season of Lent and Easter. The morning concludes with an egg hunt. Our goal is to spread The Good News of Jesus Christ! This event is for everyone in the community, no matter where they are in their walk of faith.

~Robert's Custard
For the past several years, Stony Hills has worked as part of a project organized by Robert’s Custard to help feed those in the local community who are in need during several holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas). Our contributions have included canned food, the preparation of turkeys and hams, and help in assembling the meals for delivery.  This project is an “entry level” mission project which is simple to participate in. We desire to get more of our congregation involved and to see others use this mission as a springboard to other mission projects and opportunities.

IN OUR WORLD
~Haiti
The Mission of Hope began with the vision of reaching out and ministering to the hurting and less fortunate in Haiti. The desire and passion is to see the hopeless find HOPE, love and healing in Jesus Christ. The Mission touches thousands of lives daily in Haiti through the Church of Hope, School of Hope, the Hope House Orphanage, Feed A Child program and through medical teams in the Hospital of Hope.
The Mission of Hope in Haiti has been the place of international Christian work mission opportunities for the people of Stony Hills Church since 2007. Week long work mission opportunities are available twice a year in February and also in June. Ages attending range from eight years old (parent accompaniment) to eighty. Work may include construction, vacation Bible school, medical, personal evangelism and music.

~Operation Christmas Child
Samaritans Purse OCC brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Whether they are refugees of civil war, survivors of a natural disaster, or victims of extreme poverty, these little ones need to know that they are precious to God. Ordinary shoe boxes, filled with toys and other presents, provide opportunities for local believers to tell children about Jesus Christ through Gospel literature and evangelism programs. Our box collection runs in early November.

~ScholarLeaders International
(Formerly CISF—Christian International Scholarship Foundation)
For the past several years the Missions Ministry Team has contributed to the ScholarLeaders International, a non-profit ministry headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois that trains and supports theological leaders who subsequently serve people in the Majority World (what we sometimes call the 3rd World). Those supported by SLI serve as pastors and teachers in regions of the world such as Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. On several occasions in years past, SLI scholars have come up from Illinois to fill our pulpit when Pastor Bruce has been away. SLI is a wonderful opportunity to support the mission of spreading the Gospel message out into the world.
More information on SLI can be found at their website: www.cisf.org.

SPECIAL NEEDS FUND
Special funds are available for various needs as they might arise during the year. An example might be some community event, perhaps a weather related crises or a family struggling to meet extreme medical expenses.
